Engineering Note

A belt is considered compatible when its minimum turn ratio is equal to or lower than the system turn ratio.

Final belt selection must also consider load, belt width, operating temperature, product support, drive arrangement and the belt manufacturer's technical requirements. Also check the maximum indicated turn ratio for the selected belt to avoid surging of the inner belt links.
